Nostalgia in marketing is very powerful, and I think it’s even more impactful in volatile times like this when we want to return to a time when things were more…pleasant. More peaceful, more normal. Nostalgia often involves us returning to our youth,

Yes, but it all depends on what generation you were from. For a large % of the population volatile times is the norm, thus there are few pleasant times to reflect on.

For the record, I do not believe in nostalgia. I do not believe in it then or now

YES, can we please return to the simpler days when my phone was tethered to the wall?

Like Bette Music does this to me, along with the scent of certain foods.

PS Anthony Hopkins was always a win. The man could read a grocery list and make it sound IMPORTANT.

Looking forward to Thursday’s edition. Sarah McLachlan setting the world on fire for $15?

Count me in.

Thank you bro.

Simpler times would be nice! Anthony Hopkins actually does that in this movie with a library card. “What’s this? A library card? On an ADULT library card!’ Lol. Please watch the movie sis, you will love it!

Nostalgia is so powerful. Music and fragrances are what do it for me. I am instantly transported back in time with those.

Good morning, Bette! It’s interesting you mention music, most of the movie’s soundtrack is music from the 50s when the characters would have been children.

Good morning! Yeah, with music I'm just instantly transported. It's why I'm perpetually stuck in the 80s because it's all I listen to! 😂 best music ever.

The 80s had so much great music. I remember my ‘cool’ aunt bought me my first two cassettes: Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Quiet Riot. That was right at Christmas then my parents got me Police, Synchronicity. Good start to 80s music for me!

My brother had MJ and Thriller. I only remember Quiet Riot having 2 songs, but they were good ones. And who doesn’t love the Police. My favorite band: Def Leppard. I love those guys. I also really like some of the early stuff from KISS.
