Great idea. I'm going to try one in Notes, but I wonder if anyone will see it. Seems my Notes aren't getting the visibility they once did. Any hacks for that? Until next time, thanks for sharing. I always appreciate your easy-to-implement advice❣️
Thank you! It’s funny, my Notes don’t seem to be doing as well as they once did either. But my Notes always seem to do better when I am active several days in a row here and that’s been tough lately.
Well, I just did it. I posted a note with my question, but then I went crazy. I opened up a few of the topic categories at the top of the home page and posted the same note in each one. Oops?!?! Not sure if it matters, but I guess I’ll find out. Naively thinking that each category runs a separate stack of notes. If that’s the case, maybe this will work? If I get fined by the Substack police for unlawful and excessive posting I’ll let you know❣️
Mack, I love your clarity and your tips. I did this with my readers and got some lovely suggestions. You guys were part of it too. I had a question though sometimes what a reader suggests doesn’t align with who you are or how u function. I want to make them feel valuable but got to keep my sanity as well to sustain. How do u handle such situations? Any pro tips?
Hey Urmila! You already have the answer, you make them feel valuable and IMO you do that by making them feel appreciated. You can’t accept every idea from a reader, but you can CONSIDER every idea. If there’s an idea that doesn’t work for you, especially coming from a reader you love engaging with, I would thank them for the idea and gently explain to them why this one idea wouldn’t be a good fit for you. Then encourage them to keep giving you ideas, so you communicate that you want to hear more from them. Your true fans will be fine with that and will continue to give you more feedback.
Good morning, sis! Yes it was totally Starbucks fanfic lol. Thank you for looking for Backstage Pass, I was late today, it didn’t go out at 10 am CST as it normally does. Hopefully your Tuesday gets better, it’s still early and there are still French fries to be had for lunch 😉
Awesome! Always have your writings on my mind! I did like the idea that Claude generated. It speaks to how these AI tools can see the logic and understand what should work in a business setting. We just need to work on their honesty lol

Hey you are testing, that’s how you learn!

Neat, great tip!
Thank you, Happy Wednesday!
Great tip, which I'm going to try on Notes. Thank you
Thank you, Jana! Let me know how it works for you!
Poor Claude, writing fanfic about Starbucks!
I do like the idea of the one-question strategy.
People are so much more open when you take the pressure off.
PS I thought your newsletter went to spam today.
It's been a weird Tuesday, bro.
I feel like the left shoe is about to drop. Don't know when or where.
I hope you have a good one.

That carrot is what’s keeping you in top shape Neela😁😁😁. Aaah now we know!
I think the French fries help more hahahaha
Have a good weekend in advance Urmila
It’s a long weekend here and I am looking forward to it.
It’s so funny that you wrote this Mack as I’m considering sending out a reader survey. Perfect timing!
As for Claude making stuff up! Wow!! 😮 Although that idea is kinda genius.
